You’ve probably written down your goals for this year, or maybe you’ve been pushing back goal setting.
Wherever you are in your goal-setting progress, do this one thing first to actually set goals that will make you want to move and set yourself up for success.
Get crystal clear.
Understand your why to have the motivation that will keep you going.
The first thing that you need to do is get clear on what you want out of life.
What do you want from your career?
What do you want from your relationships? Define what you want from your relationship with your kids, partner, and yourself.
What do you want for your finances? Do you want to build your savings or invest your money?
What do you want for your health? What do you want for both physical and mental health?
What do you want for your fun and adventure and self-development?
Get clear on what it is that you want for yourself, and then PRIORITIZE.
If you’re not clear about your WHYs, you’re going to get bored in ACHIEVING YOUR GOAL.
Arrange these areas and identify what’s most important in rank order. I know it’s not easy, but once you do that, you’re going to be ready to set goals that will matter to you – goals that will make you get up on your feet and run.
Set yourself up for success with this one step.
