How to Step Away from Burnout: Shake Things Up

One surefire way to snuff out your passion and purpose is when your day turns into wash-rinse-repeat – the same thing every day.

It’s when you wake up in the morning, you get the kids ready for school, drop them off at school, go to work, there are no interesting projects at work, you finish work, you get the kids from school, you prepare dinner, you put them in the bath, get them ready for sleep, then you get yourself ready, and you go to bed.

You wake up the next day and just do the same thing over and over and over and over again.

That is not fun! That can lead you to a place of burnout. We know one of the six causes of burnout is monotony. So, how do you break it up?

Break the monotony for the world to get better.

Find something fun to do within the day for just 10 or 15 minutes.

Call it a hobby, call it “me-time” or self-care for moms. Find something that excites you, tickles your brain, and that’s a little bit different.

For me, it’s learning a new language, crocheting, taking a walk or stretching.

The more joyful you are, the more the community around you will get better.

Do something fun, 10 to 15 minutes a day. It will help to break up the monotony of your day.

Stop living on autopilot. This is key to staying joyful!

I want you to be joyful because the happier you are, the happier your family will be, the better you’ll perform at work, the better your company will be, and your community overall will get better.

So at the end of the day, when you’re happy and joyful, the world gets better.

So, how are you shaking things up today?

Sending you grace, peace, and joy,

Whitnee
