Life can feel so complicated, and yet it doesn’t have to be that way. I know you’re thinking, “But I have a job and kids and a husband and a house and personal passions and a body I need to take care of.” That is all true, yet somehow we tend to complicate things rather than simplify them. A Simple Formula For Living is a list of suggestions on how to live a life that genuinely is impactful. I saw this on the internet, and it really touched me. 

Why This Is Important For Working Moms 

A Simple Formula For Living especially moved me because I was thinking about myself as a working mom and the other busy working moms that I know. Sometimes we can get so caught up in everything we need to do we lose sight of the foundational aspects of our life that make living easy. This is a list of things that make living easy. After you read through it, I think you will feel the same about this simple formula for a living. And my hope is that you can work as many of these ideas into your daily life as possible.

Return everything you borrow.

Stop blaming other people.

Admit it when you make a mistake.

Give clothes not worn in 3 years to charity.

Do something nice and try not to get caught.

Listen more, talk less.

Every day, take a 30-minute walk.

Strive for excellence, not perfection.

Be on time.

Don’t make excuses.

Don’t argue.

Get organized.

Be kind to kind people.

Be kind to unkind people.

Let someone cut ahead of you in line.

Take time to be alone.

Reread your favorite book.

Cultivate good manners.

Be humble.

Realize and accept that life isn’t fair.

Know when to keep your mouth shut.

Go an entire day without criticizing anyone.

Learn from the past.

Plan for the future.

Live in the present

Don’t sweat the small stuff.

It’s all small stuff.

Take Action

What I found when I read this was that a lot of these things make sense and are ideas that I believe in. Yet, I had forgotten to act on them. So mama, take one or two of these ideas and start working them into your life. You deserve to live a life that you love. Why wait until tomorrow, when you can start going after it today.
