Hey Mama,
I’m writing this from a hotel room—on a work trip, laptop open, inbox flooding, Slack buzzing like a swarm of bees. Sound familiar? If you’re a working mom, chances are you know this scene all too well.
But right here in the middle of all the hustle, I had a realization I wish someone had told me years ago.
The Big Misconception
Let’s talk about the myth we’ve been sold:
“To be successful, you have to do it all.”
Yeah… no. That idea? Total trash.

When you delegate, you are not burdening others. You are supporting them.
I used to believe it. I leaned hard into it. I thought success was about being everything to everyone and doing everything myself. But that belief? It was my downfall. It led straight to burnout, exhaustion, and the sense that I was always failing—even when I was doing my best.
The Truth: You Can Have Success and Sanity
Here’s the truth bomb:
✅ You can be successful.
✅ You can keep your sanity.
✅ You can even feel joyful again.
But only if you stop trying to do it all.
The real key is figuring out what actually matters. What moves the needle? What tasks are worth your time, energy, and headspace? Everything else? It’s either getting delegated, delayed, or deleted.
The Power of Doing Less (On Purpose)
Think about it:
- Not every email needs an immediate reply.
- Not every task has to be done by you.
- Not everything on your to-do list is essential.
When you focus on the few things that actually matter—and stop trying to do all the things—you create space. Space for peace. For presence. For purpose.
