3 Amazing Ways To Find More Peace As A Working Mom

Is your to-do list a mile long?

Do you have everyone coming at you from all sides? Your kids, your partner, your boss, your colleagues – everybody needs something from you and sometimes, time management won’t cut it.

You just need a break.

I know what that feels like. First, breathe, mama. I have 3 tips to help you find peace as you juggle work, family, and everything in between.

Focus on something that makes you happy.

1. Take a mental vacation.

Some might call it meditation, but “mental vacation” sounds more enticing to me.

Carve out 30, 60, or 90 minutes to take some time to close your eyes, breathe, and compartmentalize. I know you can do that because you’re a mom like me.

Push aside everything that comes at you and focus on what makes you happy. Imagine yourself in your happy place at least once a day.

I suggest doing this 2 or 3 times, before you start work, at lunch, and before you go to sleep.

2. Move with intention.

It doesn’t need to be a full workout or an exercise routine. Just move with intention.

You could do 30 minutes on your Peloton or you could take a walk around the block. Just move your body to take the stress out.

3. Connect.

Find other mamas to connect with, because they are going through the same thing as you are.

That sense of solidarity can make a huge difference in the sense of peace that you feel.

Take some time to be mindful.

These 3 steps can take you so far in your journey to living with more joy and thriving as a working mom.
