Hey Mama,
You know that feeling when your to-do list is longer than a CVS receipt, your brain is in twelve places at once, and yet somehow… NOTHING is actually getting done?
Let me drop a little truth I wish someone had told me years ago: You don’t have to do everything to succeed.

The secret to flourishing as a working mama is determined by what you don’t do.
In fact, trying to do everything is what’s keeping you stuck. It’s the mental equivalent of spinning your wheels in the mud—tons of effort, zero forward motion.
So, what do you do when you’re overwhelmed, overcommitted, and over it?
Wait—What’s a Not-For-Me-To-Do List?
It’s exactly what it sounds like: a list of things you are intentionally NOT doing.
Yes. A list of things you’re not going to touch, handle, organize, manage, research, fold, email about, or overthink.
Because here’s the truth: saying no (or not right now) is one of the most powerful productivity tools you have.
The Not-For-Me-To-Do List gives you permission to:
- Let go of busy work that doesn’t move the needle
- Ditch tasks that should get done, but don’t need you to do them
- Make space for what actually matters—whether it’s a career move, dinner with your kids, or a few sacred minutes of quiet (bless)
How to Make Your Not-For-Me-To-Do List
- Look at your current to-do list.
Yes, the scary one. All of it. - Circle what only you can do.
Spoiler: this is a much shorter list than you think. - Cross off or delegate everything else.
Literally make a second list titled “Not-For-Me-To-Do.” That’s your clarity tool, your boundaries booster, your sanity-saver.
This list isn’t about quitting or slacking. It’s about owning your time like a boss—because you ARE one.
